    Light pollution is absolutely horrible. Many people have not even seen the milky way with their own eyes.

      I really want to just be able go somewhere and spend the night under the stars but looking at a light pollution map for my area it just isn’t really something that’s feasible

        If you are talking about this map; I saw the milky way in a blue area during the summer when there weren’t any clouds. So in most cases you don’t really have to travel too far, just need to get lucky with the weather.

          I have to practically leave the state then some. The map bullshit nowhere can I see stars in Oklahoma.

            I’m in the middle of the Mississippi basin so yeah looks like it’d be a long trip for me

      Some pos golfclub insists on keeping their lights on. Even though the observatory was there firsrt.
