I did a repeat run today, mixing in very fast sprints for short periods of time, followed by a slow recovery jog/run for about the same length of time. Then repeat that 10 or so times.
It’s been a long time since I was able to open up and just run like that. I couldn’t sustain the speeds of course, but damn it felt good!
I’m working on getting back into running now, i injured my knee and it’s taken a long time to get better. All from running 5k every day on the same slope of road and not resting when it hurt.
But it’s feeling better now and i ran 2 days last week and 2 this week and so far no pain.
Admittedly short runs too, I’m very unfit now.
Keep it up! Sometimes the feet need to rest for a while to make it fun again.
