I accidently deleted my PWA which I installed from Firefox for Android back when Voyager was wefwef. Trying to reinstall now but I only have ‘Add to Home screen’ not ‘Install’. Is it gone for everyone? Will it be coming back?
I have uBlock Origin installed. Other PWAs still show ‘Install’.
It’s a browser based app now. Those don’t require installation since they just run a website in the native browser container.
Yep, I understand that. The difference between ‘Install’ and ‘Add to Home screen’ from the Firefox menu is that the former has none of the browser UI elements present nor is it opened in a new tab alongside any others that might already be open. Is it this behaviour I’d really like to get back.
Oh, add to home screen should open it as a full screen app when you use the icon it adds to your screen to open it. If it’s not doing that then there’s a bug somewhere. Maybe a toggle in Firefox to allow full screen?
