I wonder why they waited 3 years to decide this. Surely they aren’t simply hoping enough time has passed that the public won’t be as upset about the outcome, right? Our justice system is flawless and never protects those who most need to be held accountable to it, right?
It was quite clearly an accident. I’m sure there are actually bad cops to chase after. I don’t quite see the need to punish someone for an outcome they didn’t intend. For the very least it should be taken into account in the sentencing. Yeah the situation could’ve handled better but this dude thought there was an active shooter and still rushed in. We need more people like him - just better trained.
