HD 82943 c is an extrasolar planet, or exoplanet, that orbits the star HD 82943, located approximately 89 light-years away from Earth in the constellation Hydra. This planet was discovered in 2001 by a team of astronomers using the radial velocity method, which detects the small wobble in the star’s motion caused by the gravitational pull of the orbiting planet.
