A police officer who had sex with a woman after responding to a 999 call at her home has been found guilty of misconduct in public office.

Jordan Masterson, 28, Clubmoor, Liverpool, was serving as a Cheshire Constabulary police constable based in Widnes police station at the time. He was called to the woman’s home in December 2021, after two other officers were forced to leave due to another emergency.

When the woman later called 999 a second time, Masterson attended her home and within a short time of arriving, turned his body-worn camera off. Masterson then engaged in sexual relations with the woman, while her children were asleep upstairs, before he left her home shortly afterwards.

Raped. He raped her. Why aren’t they ever willing to call it what it is?

It says nothing about it being non-consensual. Just because it was unethical doesn’t mean it was rape.

Just read it. She was drunk. If alcohol is involved and the officer is on duty, that’s a no go.

I agree with your other comment but like… Good luck being anything other than left. I’m like a left leaning center and I’m constantly bastardized for asking questions.

I see what you’re saying, but would you feel safe telling a cop “no” after they’re in your house and have turned their body cam off?

Everytime a cop does something bad folks immediately want to jump on the ACAB train. The reality is that is a prejudice based on the fact that the media only covers when cops are bastards.

I’ve been in trouble enough times to know that cops aren’t exactly your friends, but I’d bet dollars to donuts that 99% of the encounters are peaceful when people just keep their fucking mouths shut and follow instructions.

I’m not arguing that the cop took advantage of this women, but what you’re insinuating is fucked up without further context of what really happened.

Uh, no. Media cover feelgood shit for law enforcement constantly. They rarely cover corruption and abuse.

Cops aren’t allowed to fuck the victims of other events just like drill sergeants aren’t allowed to doink the recruits - even if ‘unresisted’ the power differential means that there’s no way to have consensual relations.

I think you’re letting your own feelings cloud the facts.
