The two Georges

The American revolution ends with a compromise between George Washington and King George the 3rd and the 13 colonies become a self governing confederation within the UK and a painting was made of 2 georges one being King George III and the other George Washington. Native Americans gain more independence and autonomy. The French Revolution fails as Napoleon Bonaparte defeated revolutionary insurgents at the Bastille.

Point of divergence George Grenville never becomes prime minister and this allows peace talks between the 13 colonies and Britain. A peace agreement is worked out and the colonies remain in the British empire but remain self governing.
