RFK Jr.’s campaign has dismissed a staffer who said a Trump reelection was all right because her “number one priority” was defeating Biden

My ongoing hope is that we’re just not close enough to the election for the general public to know who he is beyond the name recognition…and hoo boy is there some whiplash when you first hear someone with the initials RFK spew that bs…

He’s been in the press for a while now, I think we may be past that point. As with most 3rd party candidates I doubt he’ll have much of an impact on the polls. Anecdotally, he only seems to pull “moderate” right wingers so if he’s going to have any impact I think it’ll largely be on Republicans

Well, unfortunately there have been a few examples of 3rd party candidates definitively having an impact on the polls.

Yeah I find it funny that the right wing forums are propping him up thinking that would help him pull votes from Biden, not realizing that they are posting it to Republican voters, who if they like rfk would end up taking votes away from trump.

This is the best summary I could come up with:

“We terminated her contract for misrepresentation immediately upon seeing the longer video in which she gave an inaccurate job title and described a conversation that did not happen,” Kennedy campaign director Amaryllis Fox wrote on X.

“Rita Palma was hired a couple of weeks ago as a ballot access consultant, responsible for scheduling volunteer shifts during our upcoming signature collection drive in the Empire State.

She has no involvement in — or access to — electoral strategy, nationally or in New York,” Fox wrote, adding that “the video circulating was not taken at a campaign event.

The official announcement of Palma’s ouster from the campaign comes the day after CNN reported on social media posts revealing that Palma attended “Stop the Steal” rallies in the aftermath of the 2020 election, and was present at a pro-Trump rally near the Capitol on Jan. 6.

While the Kennedy campaign has fired Palma, it’s unclear to what extent they were aware of her political leanings before hiring her.

According to Palma, she explicitly told Kennedy’s campaign that she would only join them if she was “allowed to preach” that “we want to get rid of Biden in New York state.”
