    This sounds great! But what is physically stopping the thief to just remove the sticker? Is it commonly known that a bike without a sticker is not trustworthy?

    Even then, just tear of the sticker and request a new one?

      So I’m guessing the best protection is parking your bike with a sticker next to bikes without one.

      I think the idea is that anyone could scan the sticker and check if the bike is flagged as stolen. Left over sticker material would be a huge tell something is off.

      Placing a second sticker over the first though…

    This is only useful in the unlikely event that the stolen bike turns up somewhere. Just like engraving, it won’t prevent a single theft. Better to buy an airtag and two decent locks.

    I remember that a long time ago here they tried something like this with engraving your postcode and number in the frame… didnt stop shit.
