It gives me a headache just looking at this chart. If it’s close to true then that means I typically get migraines, cluster headaches, and sinus headaches depending on many environmental factors changing.

I usually get cluster headaches. It’s almost always behind one eye (not both), but seems random as to which one.

I just managed to sleep off a migraine (with the help of Eletriptan) so I’m feeling great, but it’s 11pm and I’m not sure what to do now. I guess I’ll browse Lemmy 'til I fall asleep again.

Does your face get red near the eyes when you get a cluster headache? I see some descriptions mentioning a redness and swelling.

        No, nothing visible.

If this chart is accurate what I have called migraines my whole life are actually cluster headaches. I’ve always described them to my wife like an icepick behind my right eye

Funnily enough I had the same assumption and was surprised that they are called Cluster headaches. I also get a similar localized headache, like the Cluster one, of that same size on the back of the head just above the neck and to the left… but I don’t see that on the chart.

I guess cluster headaches only happen behind the eye then? I also never had the sweating/flushed face or dropping eye symptoms. I must have some other headache type that is similarly super localized like a cluster headache.

Yeah I get a mixture too, just got the ice pick treated successfully with indometican but think it was the cause of bad chest pain yesterday so holding off until I can see my doctor. Just waiting for it to wear off and those headaches to come back doh.

Yeah sometimes medication is just a symptoms trade-off. Which pain do you prefer and which one is short term effects vs. long term. So much fun right?
