It’s one of the most backwards states in the US.

Red folk in blue states think, “oh im tired of these blue states i want one that aligns with my values” not realizing that red states are RED states. Y’all playing tee ball republican, these mafuggas are roiding up and hittin’ dingers out the park.

It’s always hilarious to see these people complaining about all the Democrat leadership in a deep blue state. Fuck it, sell your house that you have massive equity in thanks to blue state policies, move to a true red state and see how you like it. Quit trying to fuck up these blue states and turn them into a Florida or Texas hellhole.

I moved out of Texas, post pandemic. I miss my friends and family, but I like that my lights stay on when it gets cold and the government isn’t trying to prosecute me because my kid is trans. Fuck Abbot and all his cronies.

It ends up being bubbly but it is just the side effect of lots of new people going to the same place. I also chuckled at the bit about lower income tax not helping as property taxes can result in larger tax burden

Has anyone checked how those that didn’t move to Texas are feeling? Remorse or Joy?

I can report that I didn’t move to Texas. I do not regret that decision. I also didn’t move to Florida, Alabama, Missississpi, Alabama, Louisiana, Arkansas, either Carolina, Missouri, Kansas, Wisconsin, Kentucky, Tennessee, etc.

How about Norway? Do you regret not moving here? You can pay more for everything but there’s less Americans

I dunno, it’d be pretty hard to pay more for healthcare in Norway.

Oh - we do have private healthcare too and it’s improving year by year! As politicians have somehow managed to decrease tax income to the state while GDP grows, public healthcare goes downhill. Like the rest of our society

American here, didn’t Norway fix their incarnation rate? We should listen right?

I agree Texas has many issues and I personally would never live there (primarily as a parent and because the education sucks balls), this article is written so vaguely and broadly you could substitute any state for any of the statements:

Depending on the location in Texas, the school system could be disappointing. “Families moving to Texas with school-aged children might find themselves disappointed with the public education options available in their chosen communities

This is literally every state. This feels like a ChatGPT dump.
