Leaned my car seat back and realized I had an unexpected visitor. I believe it’s a familiar jumping spider. Not sure when or how it got in but there’s not much to eat in here.

Our lunches are similar in that regard 🫥

    It might be another Platycryptus sp. if you’re not, but it’s a good fit.

      Yeah, I’m east coast US. I am by no means an expert lol. My photo app suggested the match, and I cross checked it with Wikipedia. If it’s not right, it’s close at least.

        Jumping spiders can be very hard to ID. But if the geographical range matches as well there is a good chance you nailed it. I can’t confirm it but I also can’t find anything wrong with your ID nor do I have a better suggestion.

        I haven’t seen that kind of jumping spider on the west coast before, they must be limited to your area. It’s really cool looking!
