The tree is a aproximately 200 year old pin oak. It’s amazing and provides amazkng shade for our home.

    There is a perfect spot to build a tiny gnome house in amongst the roots in that picture. That would look so cute!

      It really would, We have considered it and talked about adding one, but decided that its natural beauty shouldn’t be messed with.

        i planted my white oak in 2012, i will never see it that big, but i hope next owner(s) let it grow

          I’ve never seen a pin oak this big, but our tree guy said it’s at least 200 years. This guy was here long before us, and barring some tragedy it will be here generations after us. It provides such amazing shade for our home and just just sit under and relax. We are very lucky.
