Absolutely true, and tbf, the articles are 80% written well. It’s the headline creators trying to get eyeballs that are most to blame. I’ll the read the headline and sometimes it doesn’t even pertain to the article or the article was written by AI. They know that most people only read the headline.
It’s more important than ever to find and support local, independent news. The major news outlets all have corporate and capital biases that are going to get worse.
Not so much local, but Democracy Now is a fantastic independent news source
Hell yes, Amy Goodman is a national treasure.
I understand why NYT didn’t lay off their newsroom, the transition happened long ago. It’s extremely biased if you look at it everyday. WaPo had good articles, but obviously mid-life-crisis guy won’t let that continue.
