Not sure if this one is allowed lol. It’s a cover of a Metallica song done by Black/Folk Metal masters Moonsorrow in their own style. Elements of thrash are still there but the vibe is completely different.
I’ll allow it since like you said, there are still elements of thrash and it is a cover 😁. Very interesting. I’m completely inexperienced with Folk metal, never really heard it properly before, but I can kinda get it, listening to this song. Maybe a possible future endeavour for me!
Can’t speak for the majority of Folk Metal but I have a lot of reverence for Moonsorrow. If you like this, try their magnum opus Jotunheim, from the album Verisäkeet. All the lyrics are in Finnish but it’s a beautiful and brutal track. Vocals are not cleanly sung like the Metallica cover tho lol
