The union representing Canada Post workers says the Crown corporation has been laying off striking employees as the labour action by more than 55,000 workers approaches the two-week mark.
Pathetic.
This sounds illegal… Also kinda pointless since they aren’t paying the workers while they’re on strike.
It might shake a few votes loose when it comes to a union vote on a contract.
They are sending a message… From their perspective, clearly not pointless, they wouldn’t do it otherwise.

I’m pretty sure they’re legally required to send that to the employees — which means couriers.
As long as sevrvice Canada receives it, the employee only needs to be verbally informed.
