Why do you think the glass shattered? Someone probably sneezed or dropped a bagel and there was zero dampening in the room whatsoever, causing massive reverberations and the glass to shatter, er, relax

found this out the hard way about 15 minutes before leaving for the airport, while in the process of moving to a different country. never buying a glass case again.

It’s also bad for noise dampening and EMC. I decided I don’t need my feet to be illuminated in all colors of the rainbow under the desk and went with an all-metal case instead.

I had this happen while washing the glass window on my oven. It must have snagged a defect on the sink and it just popped into 60 jillion pieces.

I ended up buying a new stove because it never worked the same with a new window.

Gosh, you must have been startled by that. Tempered glass terrifies me because it feels like it has demons inside (that’s why it explodes so violently when the seal is breached)

I never would have had the glass break if I didn’t lay it across the top of my sink. I was otherwise fine for 13 years.

Oh this happened to me while we were having lunch in the kitchen. We weren’t close to the oven and we hadn’t even used it that day and suddenly bang!

I’m partial to cotton sheets myself, but to each his own.
