It’s like school picture days all over again. Rather than live with that in my license photo for the next 4 years, maybe I “lose” my wallet after the zit clears up and get a replacement/retake the photo.
I don’t know how big your license photos are, or at what resolution they get printed at… but ours looks like a stamp printed with a dot matrix printer and laminated. You couldn’t tell a zit from an eyeball. LOL
Ours are about 1.5 inches, square, and decent resolution with (intentionally?) terrible lighting.

Yeah, lol, nobody looks good in them but there are varying degrees of bad you can have control of.
Yeah, I made the unfortunate mistake of taking one when I was unshaved, and totally didn’t look like what I usually do. Regretted it every time I had to show my ID for years until it came up for renewal! I feel your pain!

In some states they simply reuse the picture they have on file when you get a replacement card. Depends on how old the picture is.
My state doesn’t list how they handle that, but it’d be my luck they would and I’d be out the replacement fee lol.
I’m thinking that would actually be the case since you can fully renew it online and they mail you your new one. Until this moment, I didn’t know you could do that online (other than having all the paperwork verified ahead of time).
Don’t worry about it. It’s a license, not a wedding photo. Think about how many times you even need to show it. Even then, they aren’t looking that hard.
Just get the picture. Nobody cares what you driver’s license picture looks like.
I got carpet burn on my lip the day before mine years ago when I slipped grabbing a tow rope. I’ve had a couple of pictures since then. Now it’s just a fun memory.

Anyone looking at your license photo is noone you want to impress. It’s either guna be a cop, a cashier or a bouncer. If you are looking to fuck any of them you’re a bigger loser than the zit on your face.

That’s always been my go-to, and the scab usually sticks around longer than the pimple lol. I’ve gotten pretty good lately at just leaving them be.
