I’m also hearing an unconfirmed report that he fell a second time once inside a room or office, but you know how the rumor mill is.

Sorry, but all my sympathy is being used for the victims of this administration that McConnell could have prevented not once but twice.

McConnell is a big reason why we’re here to begin with. He broke the obstruction record during Obama’s administration.

However, Dems should be taking note of how exactly McConnell obstructed so effectively and start doing it themselves ASAP.

Agree, but one thing McConnell typically had, even as Minority Leader, was his people in line. I’m not sure the dems will ever be able to form a solid block as fragmented as we all are. Doesn’t meant they shouldn’t try though.

There were two impeachment votes, but he for damn sure could have prevented it at an absolute myriad of junctures between 2015 and now.

Maybe Trump and his family, Musky and just all the Republicans can take up sky diving without a parachute?

Actually, most the Democrats can join them. Especially that cunt Fetterman.

Idk. Knowing that he knows he’s old, weak, frail, and vulnerable, and knowing that he’s probably in ongoing pain from toppling down stairs, makes me happier than him just straight up passing.

When you’re old, a bad fall can indicate the final 2 years of your life. Reduced mobility, depression, and injury sap what little remains of you. Despite hating him, I sympathize. There’s nothing to be gained from his current state. Were he still leading the country to its ruin, I’d be ecstatic, but now he’s just an old idiot potentially headed for hospice. Trump should take the stairs more often

40 fucking years of actively supporting the destruction of the United States and you feel pity for him?

God, when you ask yourself why this is happening - it’s this. Blind empathy has been the 1%s greatest tool. I will not feel an ounce of sympathy nor empathy for this fucking ghoul, I hope he lives every single moment of the rest of his life in agonizing pain - it still isn’t enough. 40 fucking years.

Reveling in others’ pain chips away at your conscience, for better or worse. I’ll revel when the violence is pragmatic, not when it’s popular to do so.

I don’t see the distinction, personally. Shoot me a message when someone actively harming the world falls down a flight and I’ll laugh along. Watching an impotent politician becoming a cripple just reminds me of my own mortality, which is hardly constructive. Now, 10 more of them going down the steps is a message and a vibe. But this is just uninteresting to me.

Consider if he’s incapacitated. That takes away 1 vote in the senate. If he dies, the KY governor is required to pick from choices provided by the party of the departing senator. So they would necessarily be republican.

I’d be hard pressed to believe they would be as evil and conniving as Mitch McConnell. So unless he’s incapacitated until he’s dead over a period of three years, without a single chance to be his fully awful self in the slightest…

I’d still prefer my first choice.

Edit: 2027 not 2028 for his last term.

How fuck did he not break his neck or die? Fucking old man like him falls down stairs and lives? I think my hunch is correct and all the freezing up and falling down is because the man been dead for years. It’s whatever spell allowing his corpses to continue to function is wearing off.

Wasn’t it not 2 years ago there was a picture and he showed his hands were almost completely black and he had frozen up?

Anyway wish Fucker retire or better yet go off another way. He destroyed enough of this country already and allowed Trump to do what he doing now.

He withdrew his head and neck inside his torso which can offer a great deal of protection.

The human body is surprisingly resilient. Even when a standard fall like this (as opposed to falling off a roof or out of a window) directly leads to death, it usually doesn’t happen right away.

It seems likely that he’s near the end, but I don’t think that really matters. He won’t be replaced by anyone better.

He also has that “campaign contributor” money for healthcare. Grandma may be dead in a few hours after sitting too hard on a chair, but you better believe he is pumped full of every life prolonging, stem cell, rubber bones, heart pumping, illness treating, expensive drug to keep him fogging a mirror and hurting poor people.

The difference in end of life care between poor and rich people is drastic and it shows with stuff like this.

Plus it’s always the shitty ones that get lucky and live longer.
