Why are Ukrainian cats cuter than normal

Came here to ask the same-ish thing. I’m guessing field medic? Only reason to need scissors at the ready I can think of.

Either that, or the Russians are using some shitty razor wire.

Well if it’s just painted string then who needs scissors? You have a cat!

Usually dogs and cats are just there. Hungry and lonely, abandoned by their owners or having no alive owners. Between feeding and not feeding such pets soldiers choose the first one. And the pets start living with the soldiers. Then the soldiers make photos of their new pets. So, it’s not propaganda.

And there’s an important correction: animals are victims of what Russians are doing.

A different perspective of fighting back when a country invades you and murders, rapes, and pillages your people?

Please illuminate us on this super meta perspective.

The Russian trolls are not really very clever are they it’s mostly just about being irritating rather than convincing.

The only stupidity here is that you are spreading ruzzian propaganda, and being a hypocrite.

Why do you hate the animals?

It can be viewed as propoganda, just as your idiotic blithering defending the ruzzian orcs is definitely propaganda. The difference is that the kitty picture is “good” propaganda, that will help end the war and stop harming anumals. Your shilling is causing harm to other animals.

Why don’t you get on the animal’s side and stop helping the ruzzian orcs harm them?

You would think if I was trying to make a propaganda campaign out of something I wouldn’t have freely admitted to finding them in my ‘Ukrainian War’ folder, and would have more than three to share. But have it your way - useful idiots always do.

edit: If it was a picture of a cat with a Russian soldier, something tells me your attitude would be very different. I support kicking out the invaders, but propaganda playing with emotions doesn’t sit well with me.

Huh. If I’d known Ukrainian cat pics were such a vital part of the war effort, I would’ve saved more to share.

Comment wouldn’t change. This community is about cats, if it was a Russian dude holding one I could care less.

As long as it damages any Russian efforts to justify their unilateral genocide… Bring on the cat pics.

“I support fighting Russia to the last Ukrainian.”

“It’s such a relief that I can finally channel my racism in a socially-acceptable way now that we are in a proxy war with Russia. Orc orc orc.”

Russia literally invaded a democratic neighboring country. There was a lot of empathy for drafted Russian soldiers until their calls home were leaked and people started finding mass graves full of Ukrainian citizens. I’m not really sure what you’re expecting here?

I expect the responses I’m receiving. I don’t respond expecting any change, I respond with the hope that once in awhile, someone may come along and read a comment that makes them question the narratives that they’ve been taught to blindly accept.

I hope that people can look beyond the propaganda they are hit with and realize that continuing to support this conflict will do nothing to help the Ukrainian citizens. What it will do is create a situation where Ukraine is perpetually indebted to NATO countries and the companies within that wish to exploit Ukraine, further enrich the morally bankrupt military industry, and produce dangerous conditions that the Ukrainian and Russian people will be paying for with their health for decades to come similar to what we see in Laos, Iraq, and Afghanistan.

Allowing comments with underlying messages and assumptions that dehumanize a people to go uncontested has already led to widespread acceptance of racism towards “the other,” which is something that is always unacceptable.

I hope people will quit swallowing the tepid justifications for war that the rich and their puppets push. Splitting those of us who have to pay the costs of their destruction along ideological lines that don’t even get to the root of the problem wastes our energy on meaningless discourse and further stabilizes the dictatorship the rich have nearly the entire world under.

The USA literally goes around the entire world invading countries. No one seems to care since I guess those countries are not considered “democratic” (i.e. western, white, blond-haired and blue-eyed) enough.

Most people feel before they think. The fact you didn’t consider that leads me to conclude your definition of “reasonable” is flawed.

You are naive and inflexible. That is unreasonable.

Also that’s not the definition of reasonable. So you are inexact as well. Bad combination.

Well that excludes you. You are incapable of understanding that these pictures help the animals and harm the ruzzian orcs. Instead you have filled this thread with your implicit approval of the orcs.

Stop being a hypocrite. Be a better human.
