I would be very interested in an app like this in general that helped you purchase ethically in general, I have to many other things to remember besides all of Nestle’s subsidiaries.

Dld and scanned Filippo Berio Extra Virgin Olive Oil. App got it wrong. Said Betrayal. Claims company is Extra. Got that from the product description no doubt. Claims made in usa. But the bottle said imported.

    Cool idea but needs work.

Yeah I did the exact same thing! “EXTRA” is a registered brand of “Chipita” Is that what i showed you?

My Olive Oil is Mastro, which is owned by Sofina which I think is a Canadian company. I’m curious to know if it’s just matching the first result for “EXTRA”.

I also scanned a store brand (President’s Choice) bottle of ketchup and it just came up PRESIDENT and said it was owned by a company in France which I’m sure isn’t true. It’s owned by the store chain which is owned by the Weston family, and they wouldn’t dare lie about where they’re getting their ketchup from… that would re-ignite a new ketchup war (it’s a whole thing).

Tried correcting thru app but since the company was misidentified the correction won’t help.

After scanning about five products in my house, my phone got hot.

Very curious to test this. And to stop buying from shitty companies as well.
