Testing 900 Millibars and Skiing on Europa from Fyrinnae today. At this point, I feel like my sense of smell is mostly back, but possibly not yet 100%. Both these scents are quite “low-throw” on me, which is okay, although I do wish they were a bit stronger. If I end up getting FS of either, I’ll probably experiment with that a bit more.

I probably won’t FS 900 Millibars. It’s nice, especially in the bottle, but it turns a little “generic-y” on me. There definitely seems to be a clean laundry quality to it, which is a note I like… I guess if the sillage was stronger, I’d consider it, but it fades down to being really subtle on me.

Now, Skiing on Europa has been interesting. For the first little while (maybe an hour), it gets this almost vinyl or plastic-like note… I don’t strongly dislike it or anything, but I’m not terribly into it. It doesn’t last long, though, and then I’m left with some ozone and something I’d describe more as “cool” than “cold”, and it’s a bit sweeter than I would have expected. It’s kind of unusual (for me), but not weird or anything. I might get a 5mL bottle of it… I want to test it some more, though, because sometimes scents vary a lot on me day to day, for whatever reason.

I haven’t worn any makeup in a few weeks now because I really didn’t feel like it when I was sick. I’ve got eyeshadow testers that I’m anxious to try soon, though!

Today I wanted something that would last through my busy workday, so I went with BPAL Serpent in the Roses, (notes: Snake Oil dribbling across a cluster of amber-flecked, blackened rose petals). This has quickly become a favorite of mine. It’s a perfect dark floral for warm weather. And it’s still detectible 12 hours after I put it on this morning!
