From Summer Beeler
The day this little Great Horned Owlet left the comfort of his nest must have been terrifying for him!! He flattened his little body out into a pancake and held on to the tree branch for dear life, every once in a while he would peer over the side of the branch and down at the world below!!
He has since gained the confidence of a strong owl and has become a fierce hunter, almost ready to live on his own!!
That’s adorable
The little eyelashes make it look so innocent. 🥰
The Owl Who Was Afraid of Heights
. . is not a children’s book that I’m aware of but would be one I would have loved as a kid.
That would be pretty good! I was thinking you could show it fall but since they have a low terminal velocity it wasn’t as scary to try and fail as it thought, but then I might get blamed when kids try to jump off the roof. This is why I stick to educating you guys. You’re all adults and are responsible for your own actions. At least legally speaking… 😜
Pfft . . . fine
As an 80s kid, we jumped off everything and were fine. Dang litigious society these days. They ruin everything. It seems no fun to be a kid these days.
…helllo!..
Good stranger, may I trouble you for a bit of help here?
…certainly, what is up?..
That was supposed to be the owl’s response to your greeting. 😄
…crap, swallowed the lede…
I do appreciate the eager willingness to help though! We have some of the best people in this community!
