Sounds like a pretty mediocre and underwhelming remaster. That’s honestly sad, I had hoped this release would be the thing that pushed me to finally experience Mask of the Betrayer, but with the consensus being that EE really isn’t much better than the old Complete Edition I guess status quo remains and NWN2 retains it’s position deep down near the bottom of my priority list.

I’ve heard a lot of good things about this expansion. But I too have other RPG games higher on my list than NWN2.
It’s supposedly one of the best RPG experiences out there, often being runner up to Planescape: Torment when it comes to best written old school RPGs. It’s a shame it’s attached to an otherwise largely mediocre (and lengthy!) campaign instead of being a standalone game.
