Huh, good to hear! I bought it off a buddy a while back - I’m pretty much a noob to computer builds so I really wasn’t sure where it stood in terms of quality

It’s about on par with a 1060. Was decent at the time.

If you’d like some advice (these are just quick , easy get you 90% of the way there tools) use passmark for cpu benchmarks and 3dmark for GPU. It’ll give you a nice ordered list ranked and everything.

Disable the addiction mitigation setting in the menus. It periodically quits out hoping you will take a break.

I’m not gonna lie, you got me with that one. I looked it up because I genuinely couldn’t tell if this was a joke or not. Kudos!

It crashes my PC with my 3080ti using up to date drivers if I use direct x. Try using Vulkan, haven’t had a BSOD since I switched.

While it doesn’t crash often for me, I still have to reset it every two hours or so due to FPS issues. Vulkan runs smoother in my experience. Though there are several moments where it broke certain interactions in the game.

Weird, haven’t had a single crash with my 3080 with direct x! That said, I’m running the 2nd newest drivers, but I figure that ought to make it more unstable.

I have RX 7900XTX, Ryzen 9 5900X and 32GB of RAM running at 3600. Still crashes regularly. I keep toggling between dx and vulkan, sometimes one works better than the other, haven’t found a pattern.

Had to switch last year because of faulty caps but it held up until then. For anyone not knowing, there are custom/modded up-to-date drivers by NimeZ so you can still enjoy some games, which are whining about too old drivers (FH5 and Lost Ark’s easy anti cheat if I remember right). But please make sure to read the guide probably.

      • Budget AMD hardware
      • Stock Ubuntu
      • Open source drivers
      • Proton experimental

Had issues with buggy textures using Vulcan. Worked flawlessly after switching to direct X. Runs great, never crashed

Hey, I run it on the Intel equivalent: the GTX 1060, and haven’t had any crashes in the 400+ played hours I’ve logged (this includes all afk time, and times I fell asleep in my office chair—how do people get accurate playtimes, do they just lie?). Chugs pretty hard in the city, but not bad enough to frustrate me.
