@[email protected] I am having trouble editing this post further. When I edit and click save, it just keeps spinning and never finishes.

Any tips on how to get around it?

Could you check how many characters it is? There seems to be an issue with long posts. I will create an issue for the devs if there isn’t one already

Hmm that sux. Don’t see if they did something to fix that. I could try raising that to 50000 by editing the file but that would be un-done after every upgrade…

Well to me it looks like they resolved it, and increased the limit to 50k, so I guess in the next release you will update the server? For now, I can be more conservative with the characters.

Not confirmed, but it seems like it starts failing at 9810 characters

Been using Memmy on iOS for about 36 hours. Great so far and a dev team that doesn’t sleep apparently lol. Updates daily by the looks of it.

Updates several times daily, actually. And they’ve got three devs across different time zones which is why there’s constant development on the app

Thunder is quite nice! It has a minimalist design and very smooth animations. The swipe feature to upvote/downvote comments is very neat.

It’s pwa app. I have a doubt about it’s coming to store as a native app.

Jerboa user checking in. It’s still a little rough here and there, but overall quite usable. Defintly a promising app.

You can add Liftoff! under macOS too. We’ve not done any work specifically to make it a first class Mac app, but it installs and runs perfectly using TestFlight for Mac.

Edit: sorry just realised that this is the original post reformatted. Looks really good, great work!

Change the text Github to Source Code.

Also it works pretty well for an alpha release and has already a ton of customization settings.

Thanks for the list. I don’t want to go through the effort of installing from github so am just trying the web apps for now.

Its really not that much effort. You dont need to compile from source. Just go to releases and download the latest apk

So far Jerboa, although I downgrade it to .34 because lemmy.wold still hasn’t updated the instance and it was misbehaving… random crashes for example.

I think it is the most functional app although I miss swipe actions, but Monet support inside the app and with the icon already available won a spot in my home screen lol.

I’ve used Connect, Boost, Jerboa, and Sync so far. Boost is the most customizable, but I’m stuck on Sync because it’s the only one I’ve found that has a feature none of the others do: you can go to individual instances! All the other apps are limited to everything, your home instance, or individual communities. It seems like such an obvious feature, I’m surprised more apps don’t have it.
