Did I buy the remake of THPS 1+2? Yes.
Do I suck at the games now because I’m too old? sobs
In your defense they changed the controls!
The timing on reverts feels way different to me.
Why would they do such a thing?
It’s not a simple upscale, they remade 1 and 2 and unified the controls based on 2 and 3 more or less. It’s really nice actually. Maintains the spirit but it’s a pretty fresh game still.
You can always play Zork still…
On my pdp11
Idk, the graphics might be too distracting for me.
My system isn’t new enough to play Zork Zero and those newfangled graphical zorks

The remake was awesome. Captured that same feel and made my hand hurt. Though my PS1 controller was way sturdier than the PS4 controller I now played with, since the latter broke lol
I’m getting to be “that age” now, and aside from getting used to a different controller, I was up and running like it was the early nineties again.
I envy you from the bottom of my soul.
I was 23 when that came out.
I see they must have fixed the wifi at the nursing home today, huh?
Get off my virtual lawn!
That’s enough information superhighway for you.

I didn’t realize there was a Dreamcast version!
Best version IMO, the control scheme felt like it was made for the Dreamcast controller.
God I loved that console. The weird ass memory card with the built in screen was just cool.
Good to know. I will have to pick that up.
You youngens and your “Tony Hoe’s Prawn Skater”.
Back in the olden days “Skate Or Die” reigned supreme on our “Nintendos*” and we loved it. :-P
*There was no reason to clarify which “Nintendo” console, because there was no Gameboy/SNES, yet. Of course our parents would call all the consoles “Nintendos”, even the C64 and the Master System - but what would you expect from the same people, that thought the “Turbo” button would always boost their 386s (when sometimes it did the complete opposite), because they didn’t read any manuals. :-P
I felt old, now I feel older
Ok boomer
(I am probably the same age)
Oh my god, I forgot about Skate or Die. Sometimes I’d just leave it on the title screen for the awesome music (haha…)
shakes atari 2600 at the sky and garbles something incomprehensible
Tony’s 55. He’s right there with us.
Some of us actually played that old ass system, including the infamous ET game.
Indeed. I’m one of them. I actually still have it, it still works, and I still occasionally play games on it. The first time I introduced my nephew to the controllers was the first time he experienced true rage.
Thps introduced a whole generation of kids to punk rock.
I’ll always love goldfinger superman.
To this day, I’ll search for “like tony hawk pro skater” instead of “punk rock” or “ska” when looking for mixes.
Still some of the best playlists ever!
So here I am
Doing everything I can
holding on to what I am!
Pretending #IIIIIIIII’M A SUPAAAAA ^maaaaaan
Holding on to what I am
What’s this newfangled Tony Hawk crap?
I played Pac Man on my Atari 2600 and I LIKED it.

Rude.
I was an adult :(
Oof. Tell whoever is typing on the computer for you that they’re doing a great job.
Get off my lawn
I have someone I’d like you to meet
Yeh but if you played it on the N64, you were practically a youngin’ compared to us old timers playing it on the PlayStation.
Yeah that whole 6 month difference in release between the two.
Yes that’s the joke
The real difference here is using the PS anologue sticks to play instead of the N64 stick
I remember the 1900s. Good times.
I rage at thee.
I used to fuck my cousin up on River Raid
Man the first half of that sentence fucked me up
River Raid, is that in Alabama?
I played it on the PS1 I think.
It was my PS1, that I bought with my money… because I was an adult.
