May I politely ask the Chinese community why they, generally as a culture, are so obsessed with eating weird stuff and particularly rare and endangered species?
It’s a mix of culture and poverty. Lot of people, not much food to go around, means you’re going to be eating whatever you can catch.
China also has a very spiritual culture, where you gain the strength and essence of what you consume.
Someone should tell them it doesn’t work that way 🙃
Unfortunately they don’t have much of a choice, at least due to the poverty.
I meant the spiritual essence part - rhino horns, shark fins, etc.
They love their bullshit traditional medicine.
