Having national holidays is a great thing, but I wonder what the point is to celebrate nationalism against other countries of the European Union. I’m not targeting Greece specifically, here too the defeat of Germany in 1945 is still celebrated, but after almost 80 years it would be high time to ditch those things of the past once for all and look forward.
