A former police constable who showed a “complete lack of control” when he assaulted his ex and two others has been barred from policing for life.

Russell Beckett, who resigned from his role at Cleveland Police in August this year, was found guilty following a trial of assaulting three people, including his ex, her new partner and a third victim. In November last year, Newcastle Magistrates’ Court heard how the 40-year-old dad responded with “anger and aggression” during the incident in Middlesbrough.
