I fucking hate myself for laughing at this.

I dug it, was my first time hearing it, it’s a bop :D
KayLeadfoot@fedia.ioOPto Not The Onion•Cybertruck Self-Destructs in Shallow Water... Leaving Questions About the Promised "Boat Mode"1·2 days agoAs an illiterate fool, I resemble that remark!
Just because it’s funny, the insurance industry defines flood damage as:
“By definition, a flood vehicle has been completely or partially submerged in water to the extent that its body, engine, transmission or other mechanical component parts have been damaged.”
An illiterati I may be, but I do know a little about cars, and how car titles work. The only way that self-destructed Cybertruck is getting sold is as scrap metal or as a branded-title car that nobody can insure. If you don’t know what a flood branded title is or what what that means for owning/selling the vehicle, treat yourself to some literacy and Google it.
+1 for adding a snorkel/d-breather. Costs something like $150, easy weekend project, then you have a permanent “wade mode” that actually works.
Approximately.
Like JFC the manual doesn’t even tell you the EXACT amount of shallow water that will brick your truck in the purpose built “wade” mode XD
Also, if you’re taller than a typical 10 year old, you’re not wading in 32 inches. That’s, at best, “Puddle Stomping” mode.

“In the shallow water, watch me slowly drown” does sort of fit for the truck tho…

Classic comedy
KayLeadfoot@fedia.ioOPto Tesla@lemmy.zip•Tesla's Unspoken Demand Problem: Women Don't Want Them2·5 days agoNeither do most nazi men, apparently. Sales are in the shitter, even for the far right. They talk about it, but hardly any of them are actually cutting the check for a shiny new ultra-light-duty luxury pickup truck.
KayLeadfoot@fedia.ioOPto Tesla@lemmy.zip•Tesla's Unspoken Demand Problem: Women Don't Want Them3·5 days agoSurprisingly, several commenters on Reddit thought Teslas were owned by mostly females, just based on them knowing mostly females who drive them. Statistics/sample sizes can be weird that way!

Also all those things, correct, I’d just invert the order in terms of what is causing the sales dip.

I mean, it’s not like it got less relevant in the last 60 days. Didn’t one just blow up out in Cali and the doors all failed? Feels more relevant than ever.
