Here in Missouri, it’s functionally illegal to be homeless. So if you lose everything you’re gonna be out of state eventually unless you have a support structure to rely on. Some places don’t enforce, but they know they can. It’s all so twisted and nobody talks about it.

50 states, 50 sets of rules, all slightly different. Red states are kinda where rich people go to get what they want. People raised there have to play the game or move to a blue state.

I think smart kids figure on some level if their parents can “get away” with it, then why can’t they too. Some parents think, smart kids = Less Work, but it’s the opposite. “Dumber” kids have to play the game of life harder, they get good at it with practice. “Smarter” kids are more likely to cheat or avoid growth opportunities because they can. It stands to reason that facing fewer challenges in life can make you less capable compared to somebody who’s only known challenges. I think a lot of parents made this mistake, and it’s created a generation of people who think everything they say is intelligent, but fail to understand why nobody agrees with them.

I liked owning clear cups and dishware so I could see if it was too dirty to reuse. Checking for spots made it easier to clean, after-all it’s already in my hands. The drying rack was the clincher though, it gives them a home between uses.

Making money off vulnerable people who feel wronged, by making money off them for being vulnerabl and feeling wronged. We like to point and laugh, because frankly it’s deserved, but it’s a huge failure of the DNC to ignore and rebuff these people. I don’t see how letting this happen increases the number of people in America who also want to fix it. This is just going to make them more desperate and less cooperative when we might need them the most. We need to be constructive, people are people, no matter what.

If it’s the responsibility of the party that’s been misidenified to correct the mistake, this was intentional. Putting fines to random people, knowing a proportion won’t fight it, is a foundationional pillar of Authoritarianism. What’s worse is even more work will now need to be done to undo and correc this, because it’s already in place. The lawmakers will try to get the percentage up, instead of removing the system.
