The word choice in this headline is misleading. “Admits” implies that the newly revealed information is true. He didn’t “admit” it was a ruse. He “claimed” it was a ruse.

Very Tall Bart is one of my favorite YouTube channels. I recommend it if you’re into nonsensical potty humor generated by editing mostly the Simpsons and Prager U videos.

I hope the typo above doesn’t prevent anyone interested from discovering this excellent genre. It’s “Explosions in the Sky”.
Tenforward has been one of the biggest unexpected delights over the last year or so since migrating to Lemmy from Reddit

This was what I thought the OP was talking about at first. It took me a minute to remember that urban legend from the 90s.
I travel with a couple of binder clips for exactly this reason. I never thought of using a hanger with clips though!

Aww, bummer. I’m sure I could get a PS2 emulator up and running, but I don’t think it would be worth it just for Burnout 3

Classic! I should re-buy this on steam so I can play it again.
Lol that’s awesome. I really do feel like I’ve gotten more value out of this thread about Blade 3 than I would have by actually watching Blade 3.
Haha okay I’m glad I didn’t miss anything good. I only ever watched the first one, but this post made me curious.
I totally forgot Blade is a trilogy

Aren’t the meat products used for pets by-products of the meat (for humans) industry? That is, isn’t it the case that no additional livestock animals are slaughtered to feed pets, beyond those that are already being slaughtered to feed humans?

Same. Every time.
My only issue with this is that it’s been posted in the Lemmy Shitpost community, and it’s not shit at all.
That’s fair enough. Frequently when I’ve seen a reference to the joke I’m referencing, it’s followed by a “IYKYK”, so I figured it’s fun for those who already do. It’s a reference to an old Folgers ad in which a brother and sister behave in an implausibly affectionate way toward each other. It’s just bad acting, but viewed with a cynical mindset, it seems very suspicious.
Underrated comment at the bottom there. IYKYK
I’m not by any means a knife guy, but I read all your weird knife Wednesday reviews (and many of your other reviews) because they’re both entertaining and fascinating. The way your joyful reverence for the art and craft of knife design give your writing a kind of sincerity that is nearly extinct in modern social media (or anyway I’ve become cynical enough that it seems so). This Lemmy community (perhaps your work is available elsewhere, but I’ve only encountered it here) is an obscure pocket of intense, earnest, and skillfully delivered enthusiasm that feels like a secret garden or hidden library nook filled with nearly-overlooked pleasures.
You’re doing a great service to the community, is what I mean to say. And I could go no longer without expressing my gratitude. That’s all.
19 miles is not far enough
