Hello, referring to this mod - https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/80343

I would like to ask for your help with this mod, if it’s not a problem. The author is not responding to comments on nexusmods at all and is also not replying to direct messages.

I search with someone who has more knowledge on how to make this mod work properly.

Is this mod currently functioning for non-Nvidia users? Even with ultra performance FSR2, I don’t see any increase in FPS. The mod runs on its own and changes the visuals, but it seems like there is no downscaling happening before FSR2 is applied.

This is definitely an issue, especially because I’m using a less powerful device, the ROG Ally. My friend is experiencing the same problem. We would both greatly benefit from FSR2 if it worked as intended. ^ I also tested it on a non gaming machine, my laptop. Both devices have the same issue.

I have tried various tests, exhausting all my options. I tested the default game, then I installed display tweaks as well. I tried all game modes, from borderless fullscreen to windowed borderless, as well as basic fullscreen. I also experimented with all the performance options available, but the performance never changes.

Another thing, I tested it on a non gaming laptop as well. What I mentioned.

    1. Data My laptop has:
    • Intel Xe GPU,
    • i5-12500H CPU.
    1. Results Results were the same. Visual change is there (looks like a better version of TAA), but performance is unchanged.

Conclusion: Obviously my GPU is far worse than my CPU, GPU is bad for gaming and CPU is quite good and fast. So it’s not me being CPU limited.

For testing I even disabled all other running processes, even if my laptop is very clean. No antivirus, no crap. CPU was not even sweating.

Visual change is there, I won’t argue about it. It looks just like it should (helps aliasing just like TAA would), but performance is absolutely dead unchanged (maybe minimally lower). Checking all performance modes.

Realistic theory is that the mod author simply COULDN’T test it under ALL scenarios. And that under our scenarios there are issues with his mod. Another person wrote to me that he has very similar issues, but only on iGPU. I observed this issue also iGPUs as well(!) So most likely the mod itself doesn’t handle iGPU scenarios well.

So our only hope would be to reach to him and ask him for improvements. Practically impossible, as I never saw him responding to his comment section. I may become his Patron supporter if this offers a way to report issues properly.
