Todd Howard has confirmed during an interview that Bethesda Game Studios doesn't want to rush the next Fallout game and isn't in a hurry.

Pretty similar for me. I’ve been a fan of Bethesda since morrowwind but starfield was the last straw. It’s a a slap in the face to fans
