• breaking the executive branch by turning it from a meritocracy to a bunch of toadies
• breaking long-standing alliances to stand alone
• breaking progress on climate change
• setting back civil rights
• instigating pointless trade wars in various directions
• more divisiveness, distrust of institutions
• societal norms? What are those?
