Can confirm. Worked in a company that had an in-house team of graphic designers and their logos are atrocious.
Also, hiring people to make you one with a “budget” is a bad idea. You need to have a limitless cash flow upwards to the equivalent of millions of pesos from an international firm for them to seriously gameplan an identity and sensical logo.
