“The boys are being taken away lawlessly” – ASTRA has obtained a video of the very same dispatch of several hundred refuseniks from near St. Petersburg to Kursk

The video shows a “batch” of 150 people who refused to participate in combat operations, who were held in Kamenka on the territory of a military unit. Among those who refused are men with serious health problems and those who are ready to go to prison, but not to go to the “SVO”.

In the video, after being lined up, the men are loaded onto buses, and in just a few hours they will be taken to Kursk.

The military was not given any explanations or told where they were being sent. “As Comrade Colonel said, they are disbanding the center [in Kamenka], but he doesn’t know where they are being taken,” the ASTRA source said.

According to the source, about 10 people flatly refused to board the buses. They are now being held in a separate room and threatened to be sent there “by force.”

The part that was taken to the military training ground near Kursk has already been sent with machine guns in an unknown direction. However, about 20 people managed to escape.

Earlier, ASTRA reported that on August 12, several hundred people were taken out of the military settlement of Kamenka near St. Petersburg, where the 138th separate motorized rifle brigade is based and where men who refused to fight were held. Some of the refusers had already been charged with criminal offenses for abandoning their unit, they were under investigation, and some were awaiting military commission.

Also yesterday ASTRA learned that on August 8 in Kamenka, a soldier involved in a case of abandoning his unit attempted suicide. The editorial staff has the man’s last name. The soldier is planned to be sent to a mental hospital.

Unless these are actual conscientious objectors. They won’t take a life, even if they die as a result. It’s a moral stand, and one I respect
