minus-square@Sludgeyylink1•2 days agoTheir move of the queen to A5 was good because it developed a piece and attacked the pawn on A2. You have two choices of protecting A2. Your move or the Bishop. Engine doesn’t think your move is good, so engine says only good move for white against Qa5 is bishop. Which makes it a decent move. Yeah you don’t want to mess up your pawn structure until you have to. Especially pawns that are protecting your king.
Their move of the queen to A5 was good because it developed a piece and attacked the pawn on A2.

Yeah you don’t want to mess up your pawn structure until you have to. Especially pawns that are protecting your king.
