I didn’t mind Mark Strong replacing Turturro. Obviously he was younger, so a new actor makes sense. It was hard because Sophia didn’t really look younger, but Carmine Falcone did. Although I just looked it up and Strong is only 6 years younger, so maybe they could have used a little more makeup since Turturro as Carmine looked much older. Either way it’s a nitpick.
I’m actually surprised she killed the mother, given the loss of her own, but I’m guessing she might have written one of those “insanity papers”; plus it would have been a loose end.
