    usb 2

    But why?

Because its a midrange smartphone. If you need USB 3.0 or USB 3.1 you need to buy a flagship smartphone.

Note: USB version 2 and 3 correspond to data transfer speeds. The USB is still type C if that was the reason for confusion.

That’s a dumb reason. Why don’t we go for usb 1.1 so proles understand their place better? I know that usb type-c is a connector.

USB 1.1 is not made anymore. USB 2.0 has always been the minimum standard. USB 3.1 is considered a premium feature. The last time I had to transfer data was a year ago when I was setting new phone. Even then it could’ve been done wirelessly. Its not a necessary feature like a good camera, battery so its always ignored.

Same with wireless charging. Although some manufacturers(Motorola) may include it in their midrange phones.

I know that usb type-c is a connector.

Sorry, I was surprised you asked this question. Manufacturers have been omitting USB 3.0 from midrange and sometimes even flagship smartphones since ages ago. This has always been the case. Surprised you didn’t notice this sooner.
