I think it’s a nice thought, I just don’t think it would work.
When I lived there it felt like the entire social fabric of the source was founded deep down on unimaginable hate, I think they would gladly see everything burn before admitting they were equal in any way.
There’s a reason the civil war and ww2 only ended when there was literally no other choice, hate closes doors.
That being said, ww2 left Germany a much nicer place because all the most hateful people were not around as much anymore, we should have done the same after the civil war, maybe that’s a second chance.
