I’m not saying the GOP won’t do it but getting mad before anything happens will create a avenue of attack for the GOP or make you look dumb when it doesn’t happen.
If the left gets in the habit of calling foul before anything is done when the actual bad news hits it will be less impactful.
Normally I would say let it be but with how much the GOP depend on voters in their party that benefit from Medicaid they are actively trying to soften the blow for when they actually do it.
This issue is a powder keg and if we flinch before it goes off we put ourselves in the blast zone.

I’m not going to die clinging to old ideals. I have friends, family, colleagues, and clients who will be negatively physically and mentally affected by changes proposed. When it comes down to it, I’m not going to care about accuracy of the message. They’ve shown no regard for rule of law, constitutionality, or empathy or concern for others. I get it, “don’t become them”, but I’m not going to let myself get hung up on those details anymore. It’s a different game now.
