In Latin America it’s the intention behind the words that matters more than the words themselves, there are no forbidden words here, you can call someone “negro” and it can be friendly or offensive depending on the intend you gave it. And I think it’s better that way imo because there’s no mistake when someone’s being offensive or wasn’t just because of the words they used but how they used them.
