Ron DeSantis to oversee the special taxing district at Walt Disney World has decided to take the drastic move to defund a multimillion dollar budget for law enforcement services at the park properties -- the same police presence that deterred the Pulse shooter from targeting Disney.

Right wing ideology is and always has been based on maintaining control of the poor and working class, oppressing “undesirables” in order to further that control, and maintaining the power of the ruling class. In the case of Disney they are attempting to further marginalize the groups they have deemed “undesirable” by publicly attacking a member of the ruling class that is not pushing the party’s agenda as fervently as they want it to.
