4 panel comic of two people talking

1 A: “WHY ARE YOU A FEMINIST?”

B: “BECAUSE I BELIEVE IN EQUALITY.”

2 A: “THEN YOU SHOULD CALL YOUR- SELF AN “EQUALIST” OR “EGALITARIAN”.”

B: “I USE “FEMINIST” BECAUSE MY MAIN FOCUS IS ON THE UNEQUAL STATUS OF WOMEN.”

3 A: “SO YOU ONLY CARE ABOUT WOMEN. THAT’S NOT EQUALITY - THAT’S REVERSE SEXISM.”

B, pausing to think: “I SEE WHAT YOU’RE SAYING. LET ME REPHRASE MY ANSWER.”

4 B, pointing at A: “YOU.”
“YOU ARE THE REASON I’M A FEMINIST.”

I don’t think it has anything to do with that. To me it just feels like feminists who try to sell femanism as for everyone and about equality for everyone are disingenuous. You’re saying you stand for one thing but your name implies you have specific priorities which is not equal. I completely support women’s rights, I just don’t support calling yourself one thing and then saying your movement is about something I don’t feel you follow through with.
