My kids have discovered Duolingo, and have been going with it hard, learning French. They picked it because they know I studied French for four years in high school, but have gotten out of practice. So I’ve picked it up, too.
C’est bon! Je commence à me souvenir de tout. Mais je n’ai pas d’amis avec qui je peux parler. Zut alors!
How do you keep from getting rusty? I’m hopeful that just having the three of us learning together will help, but it would be even better if we could find other families of French speakers to connect with and practice with.
Oui, mais lycee est maintenant dans le passe tres lointain, lol. J’ai meme gagne le “award francais” du mon diplome, mais, c’est parse que je m’entends bien avec le professeur, pas mes capacites. Duolingo est une bonne distraction tous les jours. Mes enfants est trop jeune pour le class de francais, mais ils aiment le Calvin et Hobbes :P… Peut-etre dans quelques annees.
