Got the shock of my life after finishing the 1st campaign of ‘Yu-Gi-Oh legacy of the Duelist’. So I went off to go and fight the NPC Challenge mode. Out of my depth, so I got beaten a few times but I did beat about 5 of the NPC after about 3 attempts each.
I’m not using any known build. I’m using a random deck of my own making trying to actually enjoy the damn game without chasing the meta.
So I’ve been trying to fight Iszisu Isztar and I am completely hardstuck. She uses a spellbook deck and it just seems impossible. I am toast every time. I got her to 200 life points at one point, but even when I had her against the wall with zero, she just activated walls of text in the graveyard that summed powerful monsters and destroyed all of mine for reasons I don’t even understand. I couldn’t even comprehend it how the NPC and rules allow them to completely summon 5 mega monsters in one turn. I feel completely lost like I don’t know anything about this game anymore even though I am a veteran of thousands of matches. Very demoralising.
This video summarised my experience very well. As somebody who loves Yu-Gi-Oh, I weep for this game.
I had no idea about the Goat format. I’ll investigate that post hate. Thank you for telling me. I love the older format. I think most people do. This new stuff is utterly lamentable. Hate seeing my childhood love in such a state. The game used to be simple and easy to follow.
And yeah, I transitioned here from Reddit. Trying to be active here to show others in the community it is possible to transition to Lemmy, away from corporate hellholes.
