    I don’t really cook with recipes but dal is extremely easy to make. Just heat up like a cup of dal and 4 cups water and simmer until it comes apart. Add seasonings you like to it. I added some lime juice, tomato paste, home made curry masala mix, and fresh ginger. I cooked the spices and ginger in the tomato paste with some water first to make a “gravy” then added the lentils and water and simmered.
