SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — California Gov. Gavin Newsom has vetoed a bill to require human drivers on board self-driving trucks, a measure that union leaders and truck drivers said would save hundreds of thousands of jobs in the state.

    While this is true, we are entering a new era of automation. AI/ML have been slowly cooking for some time, but they’re now being integrated into pretty much every industry. The change won’t happen overnight, but it will have a dramatic effect on the workforce, and I don’t see anyone talking about what to do as vast numbers of jobs are replaced.
